With over fifty years behind the camera, I’ve spent a lifetime exploring the art and craft of photography.
Now retired, I can dedicate my time entirely to my passion — capturing the beauty and character of Australia’s eastern coast, where the landscapes are as dynamic as the light that shapes them.
My recent venture into infrared photography, using a converted Canon mirrorless camera, has opened new creative avenues and allowed me to see familiar scenes in a completely new way.
From my early days developing black-and-white images by hand to my current digital work, my approach has always been guided by craftsmanship, patience, and a respect for natural light. I aim to create each image in-camera, letting the moment speak for itself without relying heavily on post-production.
Through FordiesPhotos, I hope to share the stories, moods, and quiet beauty that have inspired me throughout my photographic journey.
